Removing a user's access session is different from deactivating their account. While deactivating a user prevents them from using the platform until reactivated, deleting access immediately disconnects the user from specific devices or the platform without changing their activation status. This guide explains how to force the termination of a user's active sessions.
Steps to Remove Access:
1. Go to the Management Section:
Navigate to Management > Users, search for the desired user, and click More Details.
2. Locate Access Sessions
On the user details page, find the Access Sessions section.
Access sessions are listed from the oldest (top) to the most recent (bottom).
This section provides the following information:
Operating System: This column identifies the operating system used by the user to log in, such as Windows, Android, iOS, Ubuntu, etc.
Device: This column indicates the browser used for the session, for example, Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Browser, etc.
IP Address: This column refers to the Internet Protocol (IP) address the device was connected to when accessing the platform.
Created At: This column shows the date and time of the user's first login on the specified device.
Renewed At: This column indicates the date and time of the user's most recent login on the platform. Each time the user logs in again, these details are automatically updated to reflect the latest login date and time.
3. Remove Access
Find the devices linked to the user. To remove access, click the trash bin icon next to each device you wish to disconnect. A confirmation message will appear—click Delete to proceed.
Important Information:
This action immediately logs the user out of the selected devices.
The user can log in again if they have the correct credentials and their profile is active.
To deactivate the user and block future access, follow a different process. Refer to our guide on How to Deactivate Users for more information.
Review access details before removal to avoid unintended disconnections.
✨ By following these steps, you ensure efficient control over platform access.
