How to Create a Custom Search Filter for My Company on the Platform

he Custom Filter functionality was created to allow you to refine your searches with precision, using a wide range of specific criteria for each module of the platform.

This tool is especially useful for companies and clients who need to locate detailed records or perform specific analyses.

A Custom Filter is an interface where you can select the desired fields to refine your search. It allows you to:

  • Choose one or more specific fields to apply filters.

  • Define operators and values, such as "Equal to," "Contains," or "Between."

  • Combine filters to obtain more precise results.

The platform modules that support custom search filters include:

  • Vehicles

  • Users

  • Devices

  • SIM Cards

  • Companies

  • Work Orders

  • Activations

How to Create a Custom Filter ?

To create an advanced filter, follow these steps:

  1. Accessing the Custom Filter

    To access it, simply click on Organization > Companies:

  2. Go into more details and choose the company that will receive the new filter.

  3. Navigate to filters > and click on the (+) icon. In this tab, you can also edit or view custom filters that have already been created by clicking on the pencil icon.

  4. Creating a New Custom Filter:

    Write a name for your filter and then choose the module where it will be used. The filter you create will only be available in the selected module.
    Example: In the Devices module, the filter will only be available in the Devices tab.

  5. Choosing Available Fields

    In the "Available Fields" section, you will find a list of options that vary depending on the module.

    • Example in the Devices module: Identifier, IMEI, Carrier, Model, Company, Last Connection

  6. Defining the Values and Operators

    After selecting the fields, define the values and operators to apply the filters.

    • Example: In the Devices module, we want a filter that captures devices that have not communicated for more than 2 weeks with Softruck. Here's how it was created:

      a. If you need to redefine the criteria, use the "Clear Filters" option to restart the process or click the "X" to remove only one filter.

Applying the Filter on the Platform

Remember that the selected module above is where the filter will be located. As shown in the example below, the chosen module was Devices.

  1. Navigate to the section ("module") where the filter was created and go to Search. Then, click on the left icon labeled Individual and switch it to Custom. Search for the filter of your choice.

Done! Now only the items that match the selected filters will appear, making data visualization and collection easier.
