To configure and test a device on the Softruck platform, it must have been previously registered correctly in the tool. If this has not been done yet, you can check our tutorial: How to register a SIM card and device.
With the device properly registered, it needs to be configured to report to the Softruck platform.
In this manual, we will learn how to perform this configuration via text messages (SMS), which should be sent to the number of the SIM card embedded in the respective equipment.
Before starting to send the configuration commands:
Install the SIM card in your device.
Connect the equipment to a 12V power source.
Make sure the device is in an open area to facilitate communication.
Once this is done, send the basic configuration messages to your tracker:

Contact your SIM card provider to find out which APN, username, and password to use.

Perfect! Just check the device's status in the Softruck tool. If the equipment is not communicating, verify the SIM card, the registered IMEI, and the sent configurations.
