To configure and test a device on the Softruck platform, it must first be properly registered in the tool. If this has not yet been done, please refer to our tutorial: How to register a chip and device.
Once the device is properly registered, you must configure it to report to the Softruck platform.
In this manual, we will learn how to perform this configuration via text messages (SMS), which must be sent to the SIM card number embedded in the respective device.
Before you start sending the configuration commands:
Install the SIM card in your device.
Connect the device to a 12V power source.
Once this is done, send the following commands to configure your device:
Command 1: 6666#sapn#APN#USERNAME#PASSWORD
Command 2: #6666#gprs#1#
Command 3: #6666#ip#3.220.70.203#3672#
Command 4: #6666#stz#e0#
To configure the communication interval, simply send the following commands:
Time interval for vehicle off: #6666#sst#10#
Time interval for vehicle on: #666#smt#30#
That’s it! Just check the device’s online status in the Softruck tool. If the device isn’t communicating, check the chip, the registered IMEI, and the settings you sent.
It’s important to note that for the platform to recognize the device, it must be registered properly.
